So you or a loved one have been seriously injured in a, some type of automobile or trucking accident, and you’re trying to find the right attorney. How do you find the right attorney? What things should you consider?
If you or a loved one have been seriously injured as a result of the negligence or even stupidity of someone else, how do you find the right attorney for you based on all the different attorneys that are out there in the DFW area or across the state of Texas? How do you weed through them?
Well, some of the things that you really want to pay attention to are, do you know that attorney? Do you like that attorney? Do you trust that attorney? How does their website make you feel? Do they have videos on their website? Have you had any referrals to that attorney from someone else? And after you get to know them a little bit, do you like them? Do you trust them? Because if you don’t trust them at the going in, it’s not going to get better as you go through the litigation process.
Secondly, are they a jack of all trades and a master of none? In other words, are they board-certified in personal injury trial law, or do they have a divorce family law practice, do a little bit of probate, a little bit of business law, and a little bit of personal injury? Well, if you or a loved one have been seriously injured as the result of someone else’s negligence, you do not want someone who does this part-time. You want someone who is full-time.
And lastly, is your attorney well-respected in the legal community? What do other lawyers think of them? Have they held any offices such as the Bar or Trial Lawyers Association?
Start with those things.
