Attorney Brad Parker Named the HEB Chamber of Commerce 2023 Officer of the Year
At the HEB Chamber of Commerce annual awards luncheon last week, Brad Parker was named Officer of the Year. This award is presented to a member of the Chamber’s Executive Committee who has shown outstanding leadership throughout the year.
Brad says, “Being involved and active with the HEB Chamber of Commerce has opened so many doors and opportunities to meet new people and participate in our community. I am honored to be selected as Officer of the Year for 2023 and look forward to continuing to serve the Chamber in 2024.”
For more than 65 years, the HEB Chamber of Commerce has been a driving force in the community. Through a variety of activities, it works to continually improve the quality of life and economic strength of Hurst, Euless, and Bedford.
Working in collaboration with more than 600 active members, the Chamber supports local business recruitment and retention efforts as well as workforce development initiatives.
Brad is a 2019 graduate of Leadership HEB and a supportive alumni member. He regularly contributes to community organizations that are near to his heart, such as The Bedford Center YMCA and 6 Stones Mission Network. Bedford’s YMCA provides comprehensive programs and services that enrich the community and all the people who live in it.
The 6 Stones Mission Network provides daily clothing and food assistance through the New Hope Center, which serves approximately 300 individuals per week, and they have created school-based partnerships that serve roughly 50% of at-risk students in HEB ISD.
As the first vice president of the HEB ISD Education Foundation, Brad strongly supports the success of the area’s future workforce by providing senior scholarships to graduates of the HEB ISD high schools. He’s served on the Chamber Board since 2018 and has been an officer since 2022.
He has served as chair of the Voice/Business Advocacy Goal Team, where he advanced the Chamber’s relationships with newly elected officials. In 2024, Brad will be serving as the Chair of the Board.
In Brad’s role as the 2024 Chair of the Board for the HEB Chamber of Commerce, he will be responsible for formulating policies, maintaining close contact with members and community leaders, and identifying the important needs of the area. In many ways, this position is an extension of the services he has provided the Metroplex in his professional career.
